Teaching
He defends the individualized education, so the dynamics of these classes is based primarily on individual classes one hour per week, in which they work always in direct relation to the preferences of each student by prioritizing the specific tastes of the students. He prepares students for both specific tests (test access to conservatory, music schools, etc …) and a more relaxed work on advanced musical development or simply an approach to the instrument on a more amateur way.
He works with students starting from age 6, but making a distinction between the ages of 6 and 8 years, with whom makes a first approach to the instrument, basic rhythm knowledge and music language. As from the age of 8 the tutoring is more specific to the instrument without forgetting other important facets of musical education. He works with all styles but specially with modern music Rock, blues, jazz, funk, pop, bossa nova etc … but without forget canary folk music and south american folk music (something very important even more in the Canary Islands) like boleros, son, tangos, sambas, chacareras, etc. Also, and optionally, you can work studying modern harmony, music theory, composition and arranging techniques, etc. Everything mentioned above is always in direct relation to the tastes and preferences of the student, always combined with required technique scales, studies of chords, fingering exercises, planning studies, etc.
Mousikê
The aim of the Socio-Cultural Association mousike is to achieve a platform dedicated to the teaching and practice of music, using activities such as “combos” master-class, “jam session”, concerts … in the town of La Laguna, but with connection to other areas of the island territory.
There is a need to expand knowledge continually, is an implicit phenomenon in art and general training. The mousike Association seeks alternatives to the limitations of insularity to have absolute confidence in the current canary musician and admiration for the skills and capabilities that proves to be the guild.
“… There is a need to expand knowledge continually, is an implicit phenomenon in art and general training. The mousike Association seeks alternatives to the limitations of insularity … “
As the area of classical music is richly covered by having a importate school as is the Conservatory of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, or popular music defended by his Lisita trajectory and mantenimento by many generations of canaries, through regional parties, associations and folk groups, mousike commitment to the enrichment of modern music and / or approach to less common fields. Realizing that music is a reflection of the character and history of a people, always improving or expanding their culture must be a commitment by the leaders and rulers of it.
